Just put 2 or 3 drops in water or more if you want a richer color. I also dipped just the tips of the filters in a non-diluted paint and the result was beautiful. The results always fascinate me, but now I've got more flowers than I know what to do with. This is such a low cost item to make, so the results are worth it. I hope my family likes all the flowers they will be receiving. I have been going to flea markets and yard sales picking up pretty vases and making arrangements in them. You can also stain them in a tea or coffee solution, if you like an antiqued look. I then used another pipe cleaner instead of florists tape to wrap around to hide my regular tape.
