Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a good weekend!
Ours was busy and exciting too!
Which brings me to send a big shout-out to a couple of blogs that featured some of my posts recently!
Amanda over at Serenity Now featured my Antique Window Turned Coat Hook
as well as my Barnyard Birthday Bash.
Handy Man, Crafty Woman featured my window as well.
So a BIG thank you to you both!!
It's so exciting as a newbie blogger to get that sort virtual "pat on the head"
and a "good job" by way of a feature!
So thank you again...and here's my recommendation that you head over to their sites and check them out, if you haven't already done so!
I also want to say a big "hello" and "welcome" to new BPP followers!! Unfortunately my "followers list" isn't showing up for me, so I can't see who you are right now, but I can see the numbers growing every day! So humbling and exciting when they are soooo many thousands of blogs to read out there!
So again...welcome! : )

Aside from that excitement, last weekend my aunt and uncle gave me a fantastic gift!!!
Yep! That's a whoooole lotta rhubarb!
So I was up to my ears chopping and freezing...
and juicing...
(A big thanks to hubby for insisting we get a juicer! I have to admit he was right about that one too!)
and turning the juice into syrup for future beverages...
Isn't the color brilliant?!
Love.
I froze the juice/syrup into cubes, so now I can use as much or as little as I want when mixing up a drink or two. Much easier than canning the juice, using a little bit at a time,
and then eventually having to throw the rest out when I can't use it up fast enough.
Hubs and I tried some yummy rhubarb and strawberry drinks this spring on our little getaway,
and I'm anxious to give it a whirl myself!

Strawberry rhubarb lemonade anyone?! Mmmmm...
Then I attempted some rhubarb pate de fruit...
I think mostly because of the enticing name!
Now I'm just not entirely sure what to do with it all.
Although I just got word that we may be having a lot of out of town visitors this week...
Check back in the next couple days for a post on some experimental rhubarb ice cream too!!!!
I think I've been watching too much Food Network lately.
Until then...cheers!
How about some yummy rhubarb jam? It used to be my absolute favorite as a kid... in fact, I think it still might be! :D
